Chairman Mong Gyu Chung enthusiastically joined the group discussion on promoting corporate culture innovation and encouraging horizontal communication. Hyundai Development Company held the at the Park Hyatt Busan on Thursday, January 12 and Friday, January 13, and Chairman Mong Gyu Chung participated in the workshop discussions and presentations on both days.
Mong Gyu Chung urged employees to create Hyundai Development Company’s own value through continuous change and corporate originality in celebration of the company’s 40th anniversary.
In the light of his speech, Hyundai Development Company will continue various attempts to create new value based on corporate culture innovation and creative thinking in 2017.
The event was held to improve the corporate culture concerning meetings, communication, and work processes as the first step of innovating the corporate culture.
To change the existing bureaucratic culture, the event is planned to raise awareness of horizontal communication of the leaders. A total of 54 people participated, including Chairman Mong Gyu Chung and the presidents and employees of affiliated enterprises.
The workshop involved the participants in learning facilitation skills and sharing various experiences of and plans for achieving horizontal communication. The participants shared their ideas through discussions of various subjects, such as decision-making processes, means of carrying out horizontal meetings, preparation for meetings, and listening to participants. The CEO stated, “Let’s all make continuous efforts to innovate the corporate culture and establish a culture of horizontal communication this year.”
Hyundai Development Company dedicated itself to declaring a new slogan, corporate mission, and core values for the organization in celebration of its 40th anniversary last year. Its new corporate slogan is <Faith in a Better Future>; it new mission is ; <We deliver an affluent life and a reliable world.> and its core values are defined as seven items: Management of Principle, Execution, Innovation, Originality, Customer-driven, Insight, and Passion.
